Master of Arts
in Artistic Research

The Accademia Teatro Dimitri, in partnership with the Research and Development Department of the SUM, offers a Master of Arts in Artistic Research. 

The Master of Arts in Artistic Research is a full time intensive study programme for artists and teachers working in the performing arts and students from other scientific and artistic disciplines with a strong interest in the arts.
The Master's introduces a wide range of methodological concepts and approaches to artistic research.

Extensions of study

The SUPSI Master of Arts in Artistic Research takes place in 3 semesters and corresponds to a total number of working hours equivalent to 90 ECTS credits.

Admission criteria

Access to the Master's admissions procedure requires: 

  • a Bachelor's or Master's degree (first or second grade degree) in music, performing arts or visual arts, or, in the case of documented artistic skills and a strong interest, a Bachelor's or Master's degree in other academic disciplines (e. g. psychology, education science, history, sociology, technology, philosophy, etc.).
  • adequate written and oral knowledge of the English language
  • a short written presentation of the candidate's interests and motivations in the area of research 

Language

The Master's is taught in English.
