The Conservatorio della Svizzera italiana observes the decision taken by the cantonal government on 17 March 2020 which orders the full closure of all commercial and production activities between Thursday 19 and Saturday 21 March 2020 (included) as a measure aimed at limiting the diffusion of COVID-19.

As reported in the media, the SSR (Swiss Radio and Television Broadcast company) has issued a series of guidelines that look at preventing the risk of coronavirus infection thus guaranteeing their public service mandate.
The Conservatorio della Svizzera italiana follows the recommendations issued by the Cantonal and Federal authorities with regard to the recent developments in Italy related to the propagation of the coronavirus disease COVID-19. During the press conferences that took place on 24 February 2020, both authorities stated that, for the time being, no restrictions to civil liberties will be instituted.
