Fees and charges

All amounts in this fee schedule are expressed in Swiss francs (CHF). References to ASUP students indicate students who benefit from the conditions established by the Intercantonal Agreement on Universities of Applied Sciences. Broadly speaking, this refers to Swiss students and resident foreign students.

Study

Application and matriculation

• Application fee: 150 CHF
• Matriculation fee: 300 CHF

Standard semester fees
Valid from the academic year 2027-28

• Bachelor’s and Master’s semester fee: 1600 CHF
• Bachelor’s and Master’s semester fee, reduced for ASUP students: 750 CHF
• Administrative fee: 300 CHF
• Student Association fee: 5 CHF

Special semester feed

• ECTS credit recovery fee: 500 CHF
  Semester cost per ECTS credit to be recovered
• Leave of absence fee: 300 CHF
  Only for those students who request a leave of absence during a semester
  
• Use of infrastructure during leave: 500 CHF
  Directorate authorization is required

Fees for withdrawal from studies
Once enrolment at the Conservatory has been confirmed, the following withdrawal fees apply:

• Standard withdrawal in accordance with regulations: 0 CHF
• Withdrawal outside regulatory deadlines, including cancellation after enrolment confirmation (semester registration): 1900 CHF
• Withdrawal outside regulatory deadlines, for ASUP students, including cancellation after enrolment confirmation (semester registration): 1050 CHF
• Withdrawal outside regulatory deadlines due to proven force majeure, subject to approval by SUM Directorate: 500 CHF
• Withdrawal outside regulatory deadlines due to proven force majeure, subject to approval by SUM Directorate, ASUP students: 300 CHF

Exams

Standard fees

• Admission: 0 CHF
• End-of-year examination for the main subject: 0 CHF
• End-of-year examination for other subjects: 0 CHF
• Preliminary examination: 0 CHF
• Final examinations: 250 CHF
• Final Bachelor / Master project: 0 CHF
• Extraordinary examination: 300 CHF

Exam repetition fees (remedial exams) during ordinary sessions

• End-of-year examination for the main subject: 200 CHF
• End-of-year examination for other subjects: 100 CHF
• Preliminary examination: 200 CHF
• Final examinations: 500 CHF
• Final Bachelor / Master project: 300 CHF 
• Section of the final exam (“interno” exam, final solo or chamber music recital, final pedagogical exam): 300 CHF

Additional fees for exams taken outside the regular session

In addition to standard fees or exam retake fees, these additional costs apply to all exams held outside the regular session.

Appeals and complaints

• Appeal (art. 25 Study regulations): 0 CHF
• Complaint (art. 27 Study regulations): 200 CHF

Certificates and certifications

The following table lists the costs for the various types of certificates, as well as the cases in which they are free of charge:

• Certificate of enrolment or attendance : 50 CHF
  The first three per academic year are free of charge
  

• Attestato d'iscrizione speciale: 50 - 150 CHF
  Variants of the standard enrolment certificate containing information with varying degrees of accessibility: ranging from easily retrievable information to information requiring more in-depth research, consultation of the archives, and/or verification of regulations and historical documentation

• Graduation documentation: 0 CHF
  Diploma; Transcript of Records; Diploma Supplement; Certification of final evaluations

• Transcript of records: CHF 150
  For those who withdrew from their studies

• Ex-matriculation certificate: 150 CHF
  For those who withdrew from their studies
  

• Re-issue of graduation documentation: 500 CHF
  
  

• Any other certification not listed above: 500 CHF

Other fees

• Replacement fee for the MySUPSI student card: 20 CHF
• Replacement fee for the substitution of the locker key: 50 CHF
